Annually, the American Military University (AMU) and American Public University (APU) Chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society participates in Global Youth Service Day; where members get involved in local service initiatives worldwide. Global Youth Service Day aims to unite millions of people around the world in youth-focused community service projects. It also prepares participants for a life-long commitment to service and civic engagement.
The Chapter will host individual and group projects in various locations on April 17-19, 2015, inviting members to participate in health, education, human service, human rights, and environmental projects. The Chapter at the university encourages everyone to become involved in the event, by simply joining an existing event—or creating a project and leading events of your own.
Planning to participate? We want to hear from you!
The 2015 AMU and APU Chapter Officers challenge you to not only participate, but to help the chapter share their impact on a global scale by posting your photos on the AMU and APU Golden Key Chapter Facebook page. From this page, feel free to view last year’s project in the Global Youth Service Day 2014 Album.
AMU and APU currently offer over 35 student organizations, which consist of professional organizations, clubs, and exclusive honor societies. Each student organization is committed to upholding a strong commitment to academics, professional development, leadership opportunities, civic engagement, service, and community-building.
