In my recent search for the best jobs to consider this year I came across a great article from Janet Clark of payscale.com. She came up with this list of the most secure jobs to look for in 2011.
- Project Manager – Jobs this year will have a strong focus on the project management side of business, making those workers looking for this type of a job a hot commodity in their industry.
- Social Media Manager – Many companies use social media, but they’re not sure how to use it for making profits. This role can bring in revenue and perspective to a much needed project plan for this type of networking.
- Physician Assistant – Health care workers are always in high demand, and growth depends on the change in demographics.
- Home Health Aide – A growing number of senior citizens brings this in demand position to the front of employer’s wish lists.
- Physical Therapist and Physical Therapist Assistant – With a growing number of elderly chronic ailments fuel this in-demand career.
- Staffing Manager – With unemployment rates being so high companies need all hands on deck to find the best person to fit each position.
Research your job boards while on your search and take note of the frequency of certain industry postings. This could mean an upswing in the need for that type of position, and if your qualifications match up then refine your resume to match your new goals.
