The thought here is about learning to love where you work. Even if you think it may be impossible, take a step back and re-evaluate your work day.

Consider these options:

  • Instead of thinking about the bad projects you got stuck with, or the reports you have to put together remember some positive aspects from the day. Did a client give you a compliment on your work? Did you find a great bit of research that helped launch your ideas into reality? Give these moments more than a half glance, it could brighten up your day.
  • Look at the cause…and support it. You’re working to meet a goal, not for a means to an end.
  • Take account and appreciation for positive mentoring. Constructive criticism will make you stronger, and it shows that you’re appreciated by those you work for by the time they take to review your work.
  • Remember the “presents” your company gives you. Be it a great holiday party at a fun venue, or extra tickets to a football game. These perks are incentive from the company to keep employees happy, so enjoy them!
