How to Incorporate Your Online Education Into Your Work

An online education is beneficial to your intellectual growth, and it could contribute to the next step in your career. But, did you know you subconciously obtained some valuable career skills while learning online? eLearners sent out an email this morning with pointers on the skills that are great to include in your everyday job.

  1. Written communication –
    Your writing skills get fine tuned, because it’s primarily how you communicate and share assignments.
  2. Time management –
    The time you spend is yours, and at your own pace. Most students learn fast how to manage their time to avoid floundering in classes.
  3. Computer technology –
    You get to know your way around a keyboard pretty quickly. It’s sink or swim. Most schools have a tech guide to steer your around the classroom, and you’ll pick up plenty of tricks and shortcuts along the way.

So if you’re working your way through your online degree, make sure to note the new skills you’re obtaining on your resume. They’re appealing “must-have’s” to most hiring managers.
