One of my favorite apps to use of all time has to be Pinterest. It’s a personal pinboard that allows you to share with a very large, slightly exclusive community, everything from beauty tips to current trends. The formatting is brilliant and I learn something new everyday. Today I stumbled across links to theĀ Salt Lake County Public Library. Every county has it’s own library with a bevvy of resources for the job seeker. This library has a great link to a skill matching web site.

mySkills myFuture is an extensive web site provided by the U.S. Department of Labor. The tool I’m referring to asks you to enter skills you have, and uses them to pair them with various career paths…some you may not have considered before.

This is a great tool for those who have hit a wall in their job search. It opens the door for possibilities, and opens your eyes to a new position you didn’t think you’d fit with.

Start plugging your skills into this tool today and see where it takes you!
