Chances are, if you’re on the ‘net on a daily basis (or even if you’re web-savvy enough to find and read this blog post), you’ve heard that Google rolled out business pages on Google+ last week.
If you don’t know a whole lot about this new endeavor, Mashable has a pretty great article on it here.
I have a few opinions on Google’s new business pages. Â Primarily though, I think that it’s a good idea to be on Google+ — even if for nothing other than “real estate” on the Internet.
I wanted to write this post to provide you readers with some resources if, in case, you wanted to start a business page of your own.
The best resource I’ve found yet is Google’s own Google+ for business page, which you can find here. You’ll find tips and tricks and pointers for both setting up and managing/maintaining your business page.
Some key pointers are:
- Keep content fresh and relevant
- Engage users, don’t just use your business page as a megaphone
- Take advantage of the focus on images – upload awesome ones
- Learn everything you can about Hangouts
