Stop Hoarding Your Work Email and Sort it Out

How many times has your work email, if you use Outlook, warned you that you’re dangerously over your mailbox size limit? For me, it’s every day of the week. This may sound bad, but it happens to most of us, and if you don’t take the time to relocate items to archive them then you’ll be stuck with no way to communicate outside of yelling to co-workers.

Take 20 minutes each day, a few times a week, to move around some items. If it’s an email with jokes and funny images…delete it! Periodically empty your trash too, especially if you’re having email problems. If you haven’t already, set up folders as well. This way you can keep yourself organized, and it will be easier to find something from your special CYA file.

[Don’t hoard, instead prioritize and organize.]

Remember, the next time you launch your email in the morning, don’t ignore the low priority emails…they’re the ones starting to bulk up your inbox and file space.
