When you interview you’re trying to impress the hiring manager. Even with your tailored outfit and well manicured resume you might not get the job. The boss wants to see results and some initiative, and a good sense of humor helps too.
Careerbuilderposted a list recently of the most highly valued qualities of a job candidate, and “results” topped this list. Just because you managed the project doesn’t mean it was a success. They want to know you can execute ideas and create positive results that help the company.
Your sense of humor is important in breaking up the dramatic and tedious nature of recruitment. So put a smile on your face and make a joke…if the timing is right.
