Survive the Office Holiday Treat Binging By Bringing Your Own Snacks

Don’t let those inviting gift baskets with fudge, wrapped chocolate goodies, or homemade baked treats fool you! They’re headed straight for the “trouble areas” of your body. It’s easy to get distracted by work and grab a treat on the way back to your desk…even worse when you grab one every time you walk by the kitchen where they’re temptingly displayed. Instead try this, bring your own snacks! Delete e-mails from co-workers announcing the “gifts” they’ve brought to share, and get water when you’re in the kitchen, not fudge. A Ziploc of carrots, a banana, or even some healthy flavored crackers are a better alternative.

Even though it’s the thought that counts, say “no thank you”. You wouldn’t normally snack on 4 pieces of white chocolate chip fudge during the day, why do it now? Pack a snack bag for work these next few weeks as the gifts from friends or clients of the company roll in…your waist will thank you later.
